FAQs

How much do you charge?

This is probably the most common question asked. Its not an easy answer either, basically we charge £50 per hour. This is a baseline and only covers the most basic mechanical labour costs. We do try to work our prices based around that but obviously specialised situations will vary rates and charges.

What is the best welding process?

Well now that is an open question because certain situations call for a particular process where as others are far less critical.

T.I.G. whilst being very versatile and has the ability to be used in most applications is costly and very time consuming.

M.M.A. or more commonly known as stick welding has advantages over both T.I.G. and M.I.G. now M.M.A. can be used in situations that both T.I.G. and M.I.G. can not be used because of the design of the consumable electrodes that utilise a flux coating to screen the weld puddle.

M.I.G. is the quickest and easiest of the processes. Used in mass manufacturing and structural situations it can be set up to use gas or no gas

What do you do?

Well we run a mechanical workshop that can carry out servicing and repairs of all motor vehicles I.E, cars, vans and motorcycles. We arrange MOT tests for class I, II, III, IV and VII vehicles along with necessary repairs.

We also have a fabrication shop where we carry our general welding and fabrication work namely gates, railings, benches etc. We can cover most projects you could think of.

We manufacture high seats for photography and shooting too.
